Comparative private law

Comparative private law

To study the legal systems (mostly state systems) in comparison with each other, through an analysis of their similarities and differences.

In this context, issues related to the methodology, aims and objects of the comparison are investigated. Particular attention is then paid to the construction of the European unit, with attention to the methods of legal harmonisation, including those related to the construction of an economic and monetary union. A prominent place is also given to the intersections between law, politics and economics, especially with regard to the relations between capitalism and democracy and the clash between models of capitalism.
